The hinged domed lid centred by a rectangular panel decorated with a seascape depicting the Rape of Europa, flanked by rectangular panels inlaid with arabesques, scrolling foliage and grotesques, enclosing a plain red velvet-lined interior, the front, sides and back decorated with playing putti and goats within scrolling foliage, on later block feet
