The case line-inlaid and cross-banded overall, the rectangular plinth on bracket feet, beneath the trunk door with serpentine top, flanked by turned columns, the hood with detatched ring-turned columns supporting the swan-neck pediment, above the painted Roman dial signed W.E. Palmer/Worcester, with seconds ring and date aperture, the spandrels painted with phesants and squirls, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement
