The case with a plinth with rectangular panel with hollowed corners, on bracket feet, the arched rectangular trunk door flanked by part-fluted angles, similar angles to the arched hood, surmounted by three brass ball finials, sound frets to the sides and front, the circular white-painted Roman dial signed DWERRIHOUSE & CARTER/Berkeley Square/LONDON, with pierced black-painted steel hands and with subsidiary seconds ring, the five-pillar twin-train movement with anchor escapement and strike on one bell
