The central baluster stem with scrolled supports above a pierced frieze, above six bevelled glass panels flanked to each corner by a column headed by a scroll finial with a beast's head, above a conforming pierced frieze with griffins holding shields, supported by six brackets joined by a circular disc, terminating with a pierced ring, formerly fitted for gas
