This elaborately carved walnut chimney-piece was formerly in the Palace de Heres, Oviedo. An article dated 4 September 1904 written on the opening of the Palace and published in the local Oviedo newspaper, El Carballon, mentions "the monumental mahogany chimney-piece, masterpiece of a Florentine sculptor" seen in the billiard-room.
