The domed cover surmounted by a lute-playing putto, above a waisted neck, above a baluster body painted with two reserved panels, one of horse riders in a village entitled Halte Flamande, signed Poitevin, the other of a village house, with a blue and gilt ground, with a pair of scrolled handles, on a spreading foot and a square base, the cover inscribed to the inside Offert par le prince de Rohan a la princesse de Lamballe, bearing the Svres stamp, centred by a B, above an A
