A Continental fable-decorated carafe, stopper and stand
applied with a circular cartouche painted in coloured enamels with animals in a landscape after the fables of La Fontaine, within a green bead border, reserved on a ground of frosted and white enamel anthemion husks, each with a green bead centre, the stand with similar ground, gilt-line rims, circa 1870 (some beads lacking and rubbing to the gilding) -- 21cm. high
