An oak press cupboard, North Country, late 17th century
profusely carved overall with rosettes and stiff leaves, the upper section with a moulded front cornice and dentil frieze raised on bulbous supports, with a pair of panel doors flanking a central arcaded rosette filled panel and with outer similarly carved panels, the lower section with a pair of four panel lozenge filled doors each side of one stiff-leaf and one lozenge filled panel, on stile feet -- 74in. (188cm.) wide, 68in. (172cm.) high, 23in. (58cm.) deep
