In several parts, the cast candlecups with papyrus border above a cast pierced and chased elliptical prism ring with roses, birds and grasses, over a relief cast shaft in the form of a tropical tree spreading at the base and enclosing two male figures, said to be characters from Robinson Crusoe, in tattered garb, one preaching with a bird perched on his shoulder and rifle and cap at his feet, the other kneeling and listening; on stepped rectangular marble base with gilt bronze mid-molding
