Dial signed Seth Thomas (1785-1859), Plymouth, Connecticut, 19th century
With urn finial above a rectangular case flanked by smaller urn finials centering a scrolled cartouche issuing pendant flowers and C-scrolled foliage over a glazed door revealing a white-painted dial face within a gilt surround with Arabic and Roman chapter rings centering the inscription, "Seth Thomas" surrounded by a foliate border, all flanked by fluted engaged colonettes above a stepped molded base with swags centering a foliate cartouche, on C-scrolled flared feet with foliate scrolled supports
