The rectangular top with molded edge above a conforming case fitted with four veneered drawers with cockbeaded surrounds and ivory escutcheons over a shaped apron, on ring-turned and tapering legs, one drawer with printed label and inscription, "JOHN GOULD, Jr./CABINET MAKER/Near the Meetinghouse, in New-/Ipswich, manufactures in the/newest stile, all kinds of CHERRY & MAHOGANY/FURNITURE./Cash or Furniture given for/Cherry Boards and Plank."
