A bone and ivory zushi modelled as a shrine
put a lotus bud on top carved in low relief with lotus leaves on the roof, Buddhist priests on the outside of walls and ho-o birds on inside of doors, a seated deity on lotus holding a staff -- 7in. (17.8cm) high, 19th Century.
