A Cantonese baluster vase
with everted foliate rim, Buddhistic lion handles and moulded guei dragons to the shoulders, painted and gilt with shaped panels of dignitaries and warriors on terraces and before a castellated building in a mountainous landscape, all on a yellow ground reserved with dense flowers and leaves -- 23in. (60.3cm.) high, 19th Century.
