Shorty Long, working circa 1968, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Comprising two painted stoneware jugs: the first jug with corked spout above an applied strap handle over a baluster body, all painted in white and embellished with yellow, pink, and red flowers and green leaves; the second jug with spout above an applied strap handle over a sloping upper body continuing to a cylindrical lower body painted with a farm scene in brown, red, green, and yellow on brown ground; together with a Shorty Long decorated footstool with rectangular top with yellow, green, and red floral decoration on bootjack legs all painted in red
