Maker's mark of John Burt, Boston, circa 1730
Cylindrical, with applied midband, the domed cover with a turned finial, the handle with a scroll thumbpiece and applied drop, the oval terminal applied with a cast grotesque mask, the front engraved with a coat-of-arms in a rococo cartouche surmounted by a crest, the handle engraved B over I*E, marked twice near rim
