The first pair maker's mark of Robert Jones and John Scofield, London, 1775; the second pair maker's mark of Henry Wilkinson & Co., Sheffield, 1841
The first pair on square stepped base with fluted band, the columnar fluted stem with removable circular nozzle with gadrooned border, with wood-backed bases, marked near bottom rim and on nozzles; the second pair on circular bases with rocaille and flowers, engraved on one side with the crest of a Marquess, rising to a knopped stem with similar decoration, the vase-shaped socket with shaped circular everted nozzle, with filled bases, marked near bottom rim and on nozzles
The first pair 6in. high, gross weight 17oz.; the second pair 9in. high, gross weight 39oz.
