of Louis XV style, each with a channelled and guilloche frame, the top-rail centred by a floral posy above an oval padded back, wings arms and seat covered in gros point needlework, one with grey embroidery on a canvas back, the other with polychrome embroidery depicting flowers on a canvas back, above a serpentine apron flanked by flowerhead patera within panels, on ring-turned and fluted tapering legs, one with later blocks, both with embroidery to the backs of the wing arms, previously gilt and one inscribed to the underside in pencil DE LA CROIX/PYA108NE (2)
