maker's mark probably that of Robert Breading, Dublin, 1787
The openwork frame on four leaf-capped scroll amd claw-and-ball feet, the apron hung with husk swags and with four oval cartouches chased with a female portrait bust, suspended from a ribbon-tied rosette, the fluted stem chased with patterae hung with husk swags and with central detachable boat-shaped basket, similarly pierced, and with beaded shell and acanthus foliage rim, with four leaf-capped scroll branches each terminating in an openwork dish holder and detachable pierced shaped circular dish, with beaded shell and scroll borders, the four further branches each hung with a similar detachable deep basket with openwork scroll handle, the frame with pierced canopy on four leaf-capped columns, the canopy chased with paterae and husk swags and hung with eight bells and with detachable pineapple finial, the central dish engraved with a coat-of-arms, the dishes with a crest, marked on frame, baskets and branches, the columns, canopy, bells and finial unmarked
