Maker's mark of John White, London, 1729, engraving attributed to Charles Gardner

A rectangular casket, on four bracket feet, with step moulded borders, the hinges to the cover engraved with shells, scrolling foliage and reeding, the centre finely engraved with a band of masks, shells, husks and strapwork enclosing coat-of-arms, with scratchweight '69.15' marked on base and cover, 10in. (26cm.) long, 69ozs. (2,174gr.)
A pair of octagonal boxes, with similar borders and engraved hinges to the covers, the centres engraved with similar coat-of-arms, scratchweight '21.13' and '22.15', marked on bases and covers, 5in. (12.5cm. wide, 44ozs. (1,378gr.)
A pair of smaller octagonal boxes, similar, the covers engraved with a crest beneath coronet, scratchweights '7.19' and '8', marked on bases, 3in. (8.3cm.) wide, 16ozs. (502gr.)
A pair of octagonal baluster vases, each on spreading octagonal moulded bases, the shoulder's waisted neck and hinged covers engraved with panels of foliage, shells, scrolls, reeding and strapwork, with octagonal baluster finials, engraved with coat-of-arms, scratchweights '13.16' and '14.?', marked on bases, 5.in.
