Lot Essay

Shri Nathji is the chief icon of the Vallabacharaya Samapradaya sect which dates to the 15th century. The deity with his upraised arm represents the miracle of Krishna lifting Mount Govardhana to shelter the villagers of Vraj from Indra's destructive rainstorms.
