The faceted shaft of octagonal section damascened in silver with intricate bands of scrollwork, key meander and three lobed knops with beaded borders, with one terminating in a four-pronged vajra finial with miniature makara masks and another with a larger makara head issuing a tightly coiled serpent from its bared jaws, the square ladle with stepped recessed well and a four-sided spout projecting from its base decorated with vajras, flowerheads, and geometric inlay
