The central recessed panel deeply carved with the five 'Cosmic Buddhas' seated on thrones supported by addorsed pairs of their mounts of a horse, elephant, lion, peacock, and garuda, all within arched niches and flanked by smaller Bodhisattvas, on a ground of scrolling flames, the raised border with stylized flames and beaded rim, the outer edge carved with a stupa and the letter kha, all richly gilt and offset against a red ground
