of D section, painted in puce monochrome with vignettes of figures and buildings in rural landscapes, moulded and gilt with fluted columns above a gadrooned section, the cover pierced with three apertures with compressed rims among three lesser apertures, supported by four gilt ball feet, impressed anchor mark, circa 1810 (star cracks to base and flaking to gilt) -- 22cm. wide See colour plate 4
