Cast from the model by Antoine-Louis Barye, French, third quarter 19th Century
On an oval naturalistic base inscribed BARYE and F. BARBEDIENNE Fondeur, and with the Barbedienne FB gold seal, on a spreading plinth, the underside engraved 43 and 638, and inscribed with inventory numbers 6475 and PI 375
