The headboard surmounted by the crowned coat of arms of the Mecklenburg Schwerin family, above a panel carved with ANNO DOMINI 1902, the frieze with winged cherub masks and divided by ribbon-tied flower-swags, the head- and footboard carved with scrolling foliage and flower-sprays, one side carved with harvesting putti, the other side with music making putti, the crib suspended between fluted columns with foliate capitals, on foliate trestle ends joined by a twisted stretcher, on claw feet, the back of the headboard inscribed fec. D. Michaelsen/Schwerin and mounted with a plaque inscribed Dem Erbgrossherzog/von Damen der Ritterschaft, with loose pole, losses and damages
