A similar version was sold in these Rooms, 17 November 1994, lot 121. This is probably the Blanche house on the outskirts of Dieppe in Normandy. Blanche had extensive contacts in England where he spent many months each year. On one trip he must have acquired the Morris and Co. chair which stands by the washstand.
