A related wall-bracket was sold anonymously in these Rooms, 18 April 1996, lot 162. The design relates to a sketch for a wall-light of the early 1790s in the archives of Gillows of London and Lancaster (L. Boynton, Gillow Furniture Designs, Royston, 1995, fig. 210).
