A PAIR OF TUSCAN WALNUT ARMCHAIRS
17th Century and later
The rectangular back with close-nailed gilt-tooled leather tablet centred by a crowned shield with dragon and eagle flanked by foliate scrolls, surmounted by scrolled finials, the shaped and scrolled moulded arms and turned baluster supports above a padded leather seat and a green velvet-covered seats, respectively, above part-turned legs and ring-turned baluster stretchers, restorations, the seat-rails and back stretcher replaced on one armchair, the back and side-rails partly replaced on the other
