Woven in wools and silks, depicting an enthroned King (possibly Ceasar) being stabbed by three soldiers and with further helmeted soldiers to the right hand side, with a village in the background, its inhabitants escaping in the woods and with a mountainous background, within an extensive border consisting of floral and foliate sprays amidst architectural landscapes and with arcaded panels depicting seated couples listening to a mandolin player with a castle in the background and further panels of festive scenes, the main panel reduced in size, the border patched, reweaving, details heightened with colour
