Sir Henry Clinton (1771-1829), general, was the younger son of General Sir Henry Clinton the elder, K.B. General Clinton had a distinguished military career and served in the Peninsular War under Wellington and again at Waterloo. He married in 1799 Lady Susan Charteris, daughter of Francis, Lord Elcho.
