A pair of ladies' shoes, the upper of maroon coloured suede with canvas around the heel, with lacing over the vamp and cut-outs trimmed with leather plaiting, with pointed toe, 2in. (5cm.) covered heel and in. (1cm.) wooden platform sole, stamped "Mansfield" on the insole, 1940s
