Acquired by the present owner from the estate of Willia Menzel.
From 1928 Menzel was a member of the influential La Cambre group, which included Henry van de Velde. Primarily a sculptress, Menzel also produced significant metalwork, graphics, and set design. A quantity of documentation of Menzel's work accompanies this lot.
