Qianlong Four-Character Seal Mark and Possibly of the Period
Finely carved in low relief with a water buffalo standing below a willow tree in a continuous mountainous landscape with a figure crossing a bridge in the distance, with a three-character inscription, which may be translated as made by Jingtang (Chen Jingtang), and a maker's seal on the neck, with ivory rims, the Qianlong seal mark carved on the base, the reticulated tortoiseshell dome of the cover carved as flowering vine intertwined with moveable butterflies
