Of musozutsu type, the first of black lacquer decorated with weeping cherry branches in silver lacquer and a hazy full moon of brownish-gold and black lacquer, the himotoshi at the rim, the second of black lacquer, the entire surface finely carved with waves, the crests accentuated in shiny black lacquer, the rim with a shakudo ring and gilt himotoshi, the third of bone carved with a winged beast and floral reserve below pierced latticework and a seal medallion, the himotoshi beneath the center of the rim

Rosetsu is another name used by Maeyama Koshin who also signed Kansetsu Koshin (see lot 75). He worked during the Meiji-Taisho periods and was influenced by the Zeshin school.
