The first of musozutsu type, carved with three rectangular panels of a stylized plover over waves, a dragon and a butterfly, the rim incised with a geometric band and raised himotoshi in the center, the second of a flattened dark wood of otoshizutsu type carved with a large flower in low relief on a lattice ground, both sides also inlaid with oval panels of tomo-e, applied with a pierced and lobed bone spine on one side, and fluted bone mouth pierced with a heart-shaped aperture
