Youn Myeungro was born in Chongup and graduated from the Seoul National University in 1960. He studied at the Pratt Graphic Center in New York in 1969. He had a one-person exhibition at the Kyunji Gallery in Seoul in 1977 and at the Dongsanbang Gallery in Seoul in 1984. In 1991 he had a one-person exhibition at the Ho-Am Gallery in Seoul. Youn Myeungro had numerous group exhibitions in Korea, Japan, the United States, and Europe. He is a professor in the Fine Arts Department of Seoul National University.
