A Cantonese flaring octagonal flower vase and cover
with moulded rope twist handles, moulded, painted and gilt with panels of ladies and dignitaries at leisure in gardens of pavilions within borders of birds and butterflies among fruit and flower sprays and shrews among trailing fruiting branches and lotus sprays -- 9in. (23.5cms) high, 19th century, (one handle broken and restuck).
