The case with brass handle to bell top, pineapple finials to the angles, glazed side panels and on brass bracket feet, later dial with gilt foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, matted centre with date aperture and recessed signature plaque Henry Biddle London above mock pendulum aperture, blued steel hands, with strike/silent ring to the arch above, the four pillar twin wire fusee movement with verge escapement and strike on later bell, the backplate engraved overall with foliate scrolls; case re-ebonised, associated, dial replaced
