The case with brass handle to the bell top and brass finials to the angles, brass tracery sound frets to the sides and on ball feet, front and rear lockplates now lacking, the silvered and engraved dial signed James Dalziel Fraserburgh to the centre above a date aperture, black painted cut steel hands, the twin wire fusee movement resting on a stepped base board, with anchor escapement and strike on bell, the backplate engraved with an urn and with leafy swags
