Woven in wools and silks, depicting a florally and foliate-wreathed cartouche centred by an eagle perched on a branch and flanked to the right by a pilaster with a further bird, the background with trees and an open landscape, on a pink ground, minor reweaving and patching, previously a chairback with consequential extension to the top, within a later moulded rectangular giltwood and silvered frame
