A FRENCH COPE OF "CLOTH OF GOLD"
Late 19th Century
The orphreys and hood appliqu with scrolling stylised exotic flowers in gilt metal threads outlined in purple, green and red chenille, the hood with the Lamb of God worked in silver metal purl, within a halo of gilt coloured sequins embellished with pastes;
and a similar humeral stole, the centre appliqu with two hearts, one pierced;
a dark blue velvet chasuble, late 19th Century, French, the orphrey panels embroidered in gilt metal threads and mainly lilac and ecru floss silks forming stylised pomegranates and scrolling foliage, with matching bourse;
and a similar black velvet stole, veil and maniple (2)
