Worked in red, green and brown wools with a sinuous tree rising from an imbricated ground sprouting exotic flowers and foliage, cut down, some repairs to the ground, re-backed and re-bound

Said to have been worked by Chrysogon French, great grand-daughter of Elizabeth Throckmorton of Coughton Court. A set of crewelwork curtains and pelmets, also said to have been worked by her, were sold at Christie's South Kensington on 27 June 1995.
