Woven in wools, depicting to the left a bird and before it numerous flowers and foliage, within a later red outer slip, minor areas of reweaving and patching, mounted on board
12 in. x 30 in. (31 cm. x 76 cm.)

Lot Essay

A tapestry fragment with very similar birds and almost identical flowers was sold anonymously at Sotheby's London, 26 May 1989, lot 23.
