A PORTUGUESE ECCLESIASTICAL EMBROIDERED RUNNER OF IVORY SILK
18th Century
Worked in coloured floss silks and silver metal threads with sprays of stylised flowers, scrolling acanthus leaves and birds, each end with vase with a grotesque face filled with stylised tulips, the field embellished with sequins, edged with silver metal braid and lace, some damage and restorations
