Lot Essay

Related French-fashioned pillar trestles on arched claws featured on a sofa-table invoiced in 1817 for Great Tew Park, Oxfordshire by George Bullock (d. 1818). The table was sold from there, Christie's house sale, 27 May 1987, lot 34.
