Inlaid overall on four sides with boxwood and ebonised lines, the rectangular top with a superstructure of a three-quarter galleried shelf on turned column supports, the cylinder enclosing a fitted interior with six pigeon-holes, three mahogany and cedar-lined drawers and a hinged ratcheted green leather-lined writing-surface, above two drawers, with veneered panels to the sides and reverse, on ring-turned tapering legs, with pinched turned feet, brass caps and castors
