Of rectangular tapering form, with padded back, sides, drop-in sprung seat cushion covered in polychrome floral material on an ivory ground, simulating needlework, on gadrooned bun feet with gadrooned sunk castors

This chair is probably inspired by related French canap pommiers, some examples of which are illustrated in N. de Reynis, Le mobilier domestique, Paris, 1987, pp. 160-161, figs. 499-501.
