A GEORGE III GILTWOOD MIRROR
The central rectangular divided plate with a C-scroll band and flanked by mirrored pilasters, with Gothic tracery and acanthus foliage, the waisted top section with various trefoils and ogival arches centred by a shaped mirror cresting with a splayed eagle on foliate branches, below a pierced canopy with pomegranite pendants and surmounted by a plume spray, the base with a C-scroll shaped mirrored cartouche surmounted by a foliate canopy and flanked by rockwork, restorations and regilt, a plate of the left-hand mirror border replaced, the pierced cresting possibly later
