With circular nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic balance, the black dial with luminous arabic and baton numerals, the heavy cushion-shaped case with screw down back, covered crown with security lever, downturned lugs, case, dial and movement signed.

Lot Essay

Commissioned by the Panerai Company of Italy, Rolex manufactured several underwater diver's models, including the Luminor Panerai and the Marina Militare, worn by frogmen of the Italian Navy during operations in World War II.
