A 12 inch (30.5cm.) diameter celestial table globe made up of twelve coloured engraved gores laid to the ecliptic poles, the equinoctial graduated in degrees and hours in both directions, the ecliptic graduated in days of the month and of the houses of the Zodiac and labelled with the names of the former and symbols for the latter, the stars shown to seven orders of magnitude with nebulae, the constellations depicted by mythical beasts and figures and instruments (repairs to old cracks, some severe but small, and abrasions, new varnish) with engraved brass meridian circle suported by the papered horizon showing graduations by month, house of the zodiac, degrees and points of the compass, with labelling for the difference between clock and sun, raised on four baluster turned mahogany legs united by cross stretchers
